Sustainability

We build where energy is available, apply liquid cooling and re-use the heat.

An AI factory requires power. So we place our factories where clean power is available and the grid is not already full. We operate them in a closed loop and run direct-to-chip liquid cooling, which helps us operate with less energy and with near zero on-site water consumption. Released heat is re-used in the neighbourhood.

Conditions we apply to all our sites.

Location 1, Leeghwater, is a colocation in Aalsmeer. Future colocated plants only when they use ‘green’ energy, and for our own sites we are seeking partnerships to be connected to existing wind parks.

Clean energy

  • Renewable energy from wind and solar
  • Limit energy consumption and footprint because of liquid cooling
  • No extra grid congestion is created, because we take the energy surplus at the right spot

Space and impact

  • Modular AI factories instead of gigafactories
  • Closed loop, so virtually no water is consumed
  • Located at areas where renewable energy is available

Heat with a destination

  • Released heat will be re-used
  • This is part of the design, not an afterthought
  • At our first colocated site, released heat is re-used to warm a public pool and a local daycare

We seek partnerships to be connected to wind parks.

We want to set up AI factories where renewable energy is available, apply the latest liquid cooling techniques and re-use released heat.
